Four new series were introduced in 1993: the Demolition Man series, a 12-car set that paid homage to the action flick starring Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes. The 25th Anniversary/Vintage Series, which featured 8 cars from the first 3 years of Hot Wheels production. The Tattoo Machines series, with 12 models total, offered vibrant tampo art and a package of tattoos for kids. The Revealers series featured 36 different models that were wrapped in a bag that would dissolve, once exposed to water. One out of 72 packages contained a blue prize token that was redeemable for a special 10-pack of Hot Wheels. There were also 1,000 gold tokens total that were redeemable for a bike and a special issue gold chrome Lamborghini Countach. NOTE: The four series will NOT be listed in this section, as they have a dedicated guide in the Specialty Sets Price Guide. NOTE: This section features ONLY NON-COLLECTOR NUMBER models from 1993. You can access 1993's Collector Numbers (by number) in the "Collector Numbers" section of the Price Guide. Quoted values are for LOOSE, NM examples. Cars less than NM will obviously command a lesser value than listed, depending on overall condition. Unless otherwise stated, the country of origin for all listed models is Malaysia. Different countries will be listed second, and bolded. Note that the NCHWA utilizes a pricing method called "Star Value©." Instead of specific dollar values, each car will be assigned a Star Value© to indicate rarity and potential price range. There are simply too many variables to place a "set" value on any model, so a range will be used instead to indicate where that particular model may fall on the secondary price scale. A +/- indicates where on that scale the value is approximated, while a number by itself would indicate the value falls in the middle of the Star Value. This is also an easy quick-glance method to determine rarity; the higher the number, the rarer the car. The value chart will be placed at the bottom of each page. |
